Description

This is a single heavy-duty field machete manufactured by Barteaux & Sons of Portland, Oregon, USA. The design is characteristic of the robust D-guard pattern often associated with later Ontario Knife Company (OKC) models. The machete features a long, wide steel blade with a dark, oxidized finish and a cut-off or squared-off tip profile, typical of tools designed for heavy clearing work. The handle is constructed of bright orange molded polymer or plastic, forming an integral D-guard for hand protection. The grip surface features coarse checkering. Visible markings molded into the orange handle read: BARTEAUX & SONS / PORTLAND OR USA. The machete is accompanied by a dark brown leather scabbard featuring heavy white perimeter stitching and a belt loop. No serial number is present.

Condition report:

The ammunition is presented in two original commercial boxes, each originally containing 20 cartridges. Both exterior boxes show minor cosmetic wear, scuffing, and slight crushing consistent with storage and handling. The Wolf box is slightly opened, revealing five cartridges in excellent condition. The Winchester box is partially opened, showing the internal white cardboard tray containing 20 cartridges (19 seated, 1 resting diagonally). The ammunition itself appears to be in new or excellent condition, showing no signs of corrosion, pitting, or case damage. The primers appear intact. We have not function-tested this ammunition, and it is sold as a collector\'s item. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
