Sold for: $45
Description
A lot of 20 centerfire ammunition cartridges manufactured by Hornady, identified as the LEVERevolution line, designed primarily for lever-action rifles. The ammunition is chambered for the 45-70 GOVT (Government) caliber, utilizing a 325-grain FTX (Flex Tip eXpanding) polymer-tipped projectile. The cartridges are housed in their original brown cardboard box (Item #82747) and black plastic tray. The packaging is marked for 20 CARTRIDGES and bears the warning, “Not For Use In Revolvers.” The visible headstamps on the brass casings clearly read HORNADY 45-70 GOVT.
Condition report:
The overall condition is poor, exhibiting heavy wear and significant corrosion due to poor storage. The original blued finish is heavily worn, with large patches of finish loss visible on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. Severe surface rust and heavy patina are present on the hammer, trigger, and the main frame assembly, particularly on the right side of the frame behind the cylinder. The exposed cylinder chambers and face are heavily fouled and corroded, indicating the need for professional cleaning and inspection. The action appears to cycle correctly in both double-action and single-action modes, but we have not function-tested this firearm for safety or accuracy. The wooden grips are worn but remain intact. This firearm is being sold as a collectible or for parts/restoration. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
