Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 1526:
Sold for: $25
Description
A trio of three empty US military surplus ammunition cans, consisting of two smaller M19A1 cans (commonly referred to as .30 Caliber cans) and one larger M2A1 can (commonly referred to as .50 Caliber cans). All three cans are finished in olive drab green paint and feature hinged, gasketed lids with fold-down handles, consistent with mil-spec storage containers. The two M19A1 cans are stenciled on the rear “.13 M19A1 CF.” The larger M2A1 can is stenciled “.13 M2A1 S.C.R.” on the rear and features a white-on-black sticker reading “12 GA SHOT” on its front latch plate, indicating previous use for shotgun shell storage.
Condition report:
The set appears to be new, unused, and factory sealed in its original packaging, though the clear plastic lid shows minor shelf wear consistent with retail storage. The metal dies are bright and polished with no visible signs of rust, pitting, or use. The polymer case is intact. A retail sale price tag marked $35.00 is affixed to the packaging.
