Description
This is a Stevens Model 940A single-shot, break-action shotgun manufactured by Savage Arms Corporation. The firearm is chambered for .410 Gauge with a 3-inch chamber, featuring a 26 inch barrel, consistent with common sporting configurations for this model. Visible markings on the right side of the receiver/barrel junction include STEVENS MODEL 940A, SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION WESTFIELD, MASS. U.S.A., and SELECTED FORGED STEEL PROOF TESTED .410 GAUGE 3 INCH CHAMBER. The left side of the receiver features a worn engraved scene depicting a hunting dog. The shotgun utilizes a simple bead front sight. The action is a top-break type operated by a thumb lever.

Condition report:
Used condition. Both magazines retain the majority of their matte black finish, though significant handling wear, scuffs, and scratches are present throughout. There is minor surface oxidation visible, particularly along the edges and seams. Both are dusty and appear well-handled. We have not function-tested these accessories.
