Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 1552:
Sold for: $80
Description
A pair of heavy-duty vintage mechanical presses constructed primarily of heavy metal, likely cast iron or steel, utilized for specialized tasks such as forming, crimping, or reloading, consistent with the function of equipment manufactured by RCBS and similar specialized toolmakers. The lot includes two distinct presses. The first item is a dark-toned lever press featuring a rectangular frame and a long operating handle clearly stamped with the manufacturer name CORBIN. The second item is a lighter-toned, C-frame style press with a cylindrical shaft or ram and an integrated vertical lever/handle. This C-frame press has a rusted circular mounting plate attached to the body; visible manufacturer text on this piece is partially obscured by adhesive tape, but the form factor aligns with vintage RCBS reloading equipment.
Condition report:
The overall physical condition is excellent, appearing near-new with minimal evidence of handling or firing. The matte black finish retains 99%+ coverage with no significant scratches, pitting, or wear observed on the metal components. The synthetic stock and forend are free of major defects or marring. The bore appears bright and clean. The pump action appears to function correctly, cycling smoothly when operated manually. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
