Lot 1579:
Lot of Spent .45 ACP Empty Brass Casings in MTM Style Plastic Ammo Can
Sold for: $25
Description
This lot consists of a heavy-duty plastic ammunition storage container and a large quantity of spent, empty brass casings. The container is a rugged, dual-latching plastic ammo can, consistent with the MTM AC45 model, which is commonly used for bulk storage of .45 caliber ammunition. The can is dark gray/black with a black handle and clasps. The casings are straight-walled brass, identified through web consensus and user keywords as .45 ACP (.45 Auto) caliber. The lot includes 9 spent brass casings loosely clustered outside the container and a substantial bulk lot of uncounted casings filling the interior of the plastic ammo can. This bulk lot is estimated to contain several hundred spent casings, consistent with the 500-round capacity often associated with this type of storage box. The casings are empty, inert components intended solely for reloading purposes.
Condition report:
The overall condition is consistent with regular use. The matte black finish on the slide shows visible wear, scuffing, and thinning, particularly along the edges and near the muzzle. The polymer frame is structurally sound but the textured grip panels show noticeable accumulation of dirt, debris, and grime, requiring thorough cleaning. All external controls, including the manual safety and slide release, appear operational. The action appears to function correctly when manually cycled. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition and the bore condition is not visible.
