Description

Ruger Model M77 Bolt Action Rifle, Serial Number 79-60339. This is a heavy-barreled bolt-action sporting rifle featuring a stainless steel or bright silver finish on the receiver, bolt, and barrel. It is set into a textured, dark gray/green synthetic stock. The rifle is chambered in the powerful .338 Winchester Magnum cartridge. The receiver is clearly marked RUGER M77. The serial number 79-60339 is present on the receiver. The caliber marking .338 WIN. MAG. is visible near the barrel junction. The barrel is marked STURM RUGER & CO. INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. The rifle utilizes the integral Ruger scope mounting system and is fitted with matching stainless scope rings, though no optic is currently present. The heavy contour barrel features three drilled ports near the muzzle, functioning as an integral muzzle brake. The stock is fitted with a black rubber Decelerator recoil pad.
Condition: Overall good condition showing use consistent with a field rifle. The stainless finish shows minor surface scratches and handling marks, particularly on the barrel and receiver flats. The integral muzzle brake ports show evidence of firing residue. The synthetic stock is generally good, retaining its textured finish, but shows minor scuffs and handling wear. The Decelerator pad is intact. The bolt action appears to function correctly, cycling smoothly. The bore condition is unknown without specialized tools. We have not function-tested this firearm, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
