Lot 220:
Speer .38 Caliber Reloading Components Lot of Three Boxes Plastic Bullets and Empty Shot Capsules
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of a collection of three vintage boxes of Speer reloading components intended for .38 caliber cartridges, including both target plastic bullets and empty shot capsules. The lot includes one box labeled Speer Target 38 Plastic Bullets, containing dark, solid cylindrical plastic projectiles designed for reduced-power indoor or target practice loads. The lot also includes two boxes labeled Speer Empty Shot Capsules for Reloading 38 Cal. Shotshell Cartridges. Auxiliary images show numerous clear blue plastic capsules, some of which are pre-loaded with dark spherical shot, confirming the contents. The components are designed for use in .38 Special or .357 Magnum brass cases, allowing the creation of low-velocity shotshells or target loads. The packaging features the iconic yellow and black Speer design. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws regarding the possession and use of these components.
Condition: The components are vintage and appear unused, though the packaging shows significant shelf wear consistent with age. All three cardboard boxes exhibit creasing, scuffing, and discoloration. Handwritten price markings and an OLD WEST ARMS sticker are present on the boxes. The plastic bullets and shot capsules themselves appear to be in excellent, usable condition, though the shot capsules shown in the auxiliary images contain some dark, spherical shot, suggesting they may have been partially prepared or loaded for demonstration purposes.
