Lot 265:
Sold for: $275
Description
This lot consists of one MEC 600 Jr. Mark V Shotshell Reloader, configured for .410 bore shotshell ammunition. The press features a robust cast iron frame finished in bright red enamel paint, utilizing black steel linkage arms and a large central return spring. It operates as a single-stage or progressive loader, featuring a six-station rotary shell plate and an adjustable powder and shot measure assembly at the top. The operating lever is fitted with a ribbed red polymer grip. Visible markings include 410 stamped on a small red index plate near the top measure assembly, confirming the current gauge configuration. The press is designed for reloading shotshells.Overall height (lever down): approximately 20 inches.Base dimensions: approximately 4 x 8 inches.
Condition: The press is in heavily used condition, consistent with prolonged, high-volume reloading. The original bright red enamel paint shows extensive chipping, scuffs, and loss across the frame and base. The black steel linkage arms exhibit surface rust accumulation and grime. The chrome and polished steel components (rods, dies, measure housing) show wear, tarnishing, and minor pitting, but appear structurally sound. The six-station shell plate shows heavy use wear. The operating lever moves freely, and the mechanical action appears to function correctly through its full cycle, though we have not function-tested this reloading press with live components. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws regarding the use and possession of reloading equipment.
