Description

This lot consists of one Buck 124 Frontiersman fixed blade hunting knife and its original associated leather sheath. The knife features a large clip-point utility blade consistent with early production models, stamped on the ricasso with the manufacturer and model identification BUCK 124 U.S.A. The handle is constructed of deeply grooved black Micarta scales secured by two large metal pins, complemented by a polished metal crossguard and a rounded aluminum pommel. This model is highly regarded as a classic utility and hunting knife design. The accompanying black leather belt sheath is marked 124 and features a snap closure embossed with the Buck logo.Measurements: Not available.
Condition: The knife shows signs of heavy use commensurate with its age. The blade retains its original satin/polished finish but exhibits extensive surface scratching, scuff marks, and wear, particularly near the edge and tip, consistent with repeated sharpening and field use. The clip-point tip remains intact. The Micarta handle scales are solid with no cracks or chips, though the grooves show accumulated dirt and wear. The metal crossguard and pommel show minor dings and surface oxidation or tarnish. The original black leather sheath is worn, stiff, and shows significant creasing, scuffs, and fading, but the stitching remains intact and the snap closure functions correctly.
