Description

This is a Springfield Model 511 Series A double-barreled, hammerless, break-action shotgun manufactured by Savage Arms. The firearm is chambered for 20 Gauge shells, accepting both 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. The barrels are 28 inches long. The receiver displays a mottled case-hardened finish, and the barrels are blued steel. The shotgun features double triggers and an automatic safety mechanism. Visible markings on the barrel rib include "SPRINGFIELD MODEL 511 SERIES A 20 GA. 2-3/4 & 3 INCH SHELLS SAVAGE ARMS WESTFIELD, MASS. U.S.A." The serial number C889522 is clearly visible on the receiver flat. Proof marks "SP" are visible near the barrel breech.BBL: 28 inches
Condition: The blued finish on the 28 inch barrels retains approximately 85% coverage, showing minor surface wear, light scratches, and some small areas of superficial oxidation/light pitting consistent with regular field use. The receiver exhibits strong, vibrant case colors, particularly on the sides, with some fading and handling wear toward the edges. The wooden buttstock and forend have a high-gloss finish and show minor handling marks, scuffs, and small compressions but no major cracks or structural damage. The ribbed black polymer buttpad is securely fitted. The double triggers and break-action appear to function correctly, locking up tightly. The bores appear bright and clear, but we have not function-tested this firearm. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
