Description

A single CVA Buckhorn Magnum bolt-action in-line muzzleloading rifle, chambered in .50 caliber. This modern black powder rifle features a matte black finish on the barrel and receiver, contrasted by a bright metal bolt face and handle. The rifle is set in a black synthetic polymer stock featuring textured grip panels and a thick rubber buttpad marked with the CVA logo. The action is a bolt-action design intended for use with black powder or approved substitutes. Sighting consists of adjustable iron sights, including a ramp rear sight and a front sight post with visible fiber-optic inserts. A ramrod with a brass-colored tip is fitted beneath the barrel. The receiver displays extensive engraved markings including the manufacturer and model: CVA BUCKHORN MAGNUM .50 Cal. 1:28 TWIST Read Instructions Black Powder Only Before Use Made in Spain. The partial serial/reference number is 61-03-072359-11. Proof marks are also visible on the receiver. This item is classified as a muzzleloading rifle and is generally exempt from modern federal firearms regulations, though buyers must verify compliance with all local and state laws prior to bidding.
Condition: The overall condition is very good. The matte black finish is largely intact, showing minor surface wear and light handling marks consistent with field use. The black synthetic polymer stock exhibits minor scuffing and superficial scratches, particularly along the forend and buttstock. The bolt action appears to function correctly and the two-position safety is operational, displaying clear red (fire) and green (safe) indicators. There is visible residue and fouling present near the breech area and bolt face, indicating prior use with black powder. The bore condition is not visually verifiable without specialized equipment, but the rifling twist rate is marked as 1:28. We have not function-tested this firearm with live powder or projectile loads. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
