Description
Bushmaster Model XM15-E2S Semi-Automatic Rifle, Serial Number L320423. This rifle is configured in the M16A2 style, featuring a fixed carry handle upper receiver and a fixed A2-style buttstock. The rifle utilizes standard ribbed polymer handguards and is fitted with a bright stainless steel heavy profile barrel section forward of the front sight post, consistent with competition or target shooting specifications. The action is semi-automatic and chambered for CAL .223-5.56MM. The lower receiver is marked with the Bushmaster cobra logo, L320423, CAL .223-5.56MM, MOD. XM15-E2S, and B.F.I. WINDHAM, ME, U.S.A. The upper receiver is marked CMP®. The rear sight assembly is a specialized competition type featuring adjustment knobs marked with colored dots (red, yellow, blue, black). The rifle bears two Civilian Marksmanship Program decals/stickers, one small circular decal on the lower receiver and a larger decal on the buttstock. This lot, comprised of 2 items as defined by the consignor, includes the rifle, two highly worn metal detachable box magazines (one inserted), a yellow plastic cable lock, and two loose rounds of ammunition (one large caliber and one smaller rifle caliber). The rifle is presented in front of a black polymer hard case.
Condition report:
The rifle retains the majority of its matte black finish, showing moderate use consistent with target shooting. There is finish wear and scuffing visible on the polymer furniture, particularly the fixed buttstock and pistol grip. The stainless steel barrel section is bright. The magazines show significant external wear and finish loss, including scratches and areas of discoloration. The specialized CMP marked rear sight assembly is intact and appears functional. The action appears to function correctly when manually cycled, but we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore condition is unknown as the rifle was not disassembled. The loose ammunition rounds show minor surface wear but appear live. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
