Description

A collection of 113 vintage ammunition components (projectiles) for the 30-06 Springfield caliber, sourced from three different manufacturers. The lot includes three original, vintage cardboard boxes, though the total verified count for this lot is 113 projectiles, not the 150 suggested by the box labels. The top box is marked Remington BULLETS, featuring a red and green label, hand-notated as Quantity 50, Calibre 30/06, and Wgt. Grs. 180. The projectiles visible in this style of box are copper-jacketed spitzer type. The two lower boxes are marked 50 30-06 Springfield 180 GR. SILVERTIP BULLETS. One is manufactured by Western Cartridge Co., DIV. OF OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC., and the other by Winchester R.A. Co., DIV. OF OLIN INDUSTRIES, INC. The Silvertip design features distinctive aluminum or nickel-alloy bullet Tips, visible on many of the included projectiles. These are components only, not loaded cartridges.
Condition: The three original cardboard boxes exhibit heavy wear, tearing, staining, and numerous handwritten notations and price markings consistent with long-term storage and age. The vintage Remington box shows significant label fading and wear. The internal components (projectiles) generally appear clean with good copper jacketing, showing minimal verdigris or corrosion. The Silvertip bullet Tips are intact. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws regarding the possession and use of ammunition components.
