Description

This is an H. Schmidt (HS) Model 21 S single-action rimfire revolver, serial number 563839. The firearm is chambered for .22 Long Rifle and is configured as a convertible model, including an extra magnum cylinder chambered for .22 Magnum. The revolver features a long barrel, fixed sights, and polished wood grips. Markings visible on the barrel housing include HS MODEL 21 S, Cal. .22 LR, and H. SCHMIDT OSTHEIM/RHOEN MADE IN W. GERMANY. The serial number 563839 is stamped on the frame and barrel housing. A proof mark, likely indicating the year of manufacture, "72," is present near the trigger guard. The accessory cylinder is marked .22 MAGNUM GERMANY.
Condition: The revolver retains a fair to good amount of its original black utilitarian finish, exhibiting moderate operational wear, scratches, and finish thinning, particularly around the muzzle and cylinder pin. The bore appears bright with visible rifling. The action appears to function correctly in both half-cock and full-cock positions, and the cylinder rotates and locks appropriately. The polished wood grips are in good condition with minor handling marks. The accessory .22 Magnum cylinder shows significant surface rust and pitting across its exterior and within the chambers. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
