Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 466:
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of a collection of reloading components, including cast lead projectiles and spent brass cartridge casings. The lot is contained within its original, heavily worn cardboard box labeled with the prominent blue sticker "SHOOT THE REAL LASER-CAST SILVER BULLET." The box is marked 38-55 CAL. 185g FP PB .378, indicating the intended use for the included projectiles. The box contains a bulk quantity of hundreds of 185-grain flat point cast lead projectiles, which are dark gray and utilize a green lubrication compound visible in the cannelures. Also included are loose spent brass casings mixed in with the projectiles. A separate clear plastic bag contains a bulk quantity of spent brass casings consistent with rifle calibers. Per user-provided facts, the empty brass casings are identified as 32-20 caliber, suitable for reloading. These components are marketed under the vintage Laser-Cast branding.
Condition: The overall packaging condition is poor, heavily worn, soiled, and torn, consistent with storage and age. The internal projectiles are in good condition for cast lead, showing minor oxidation and intact green lubrication. The spent brass casings, both loose and bagged, show typical signs of use, including primer indentations and varying degrees of tarnish and patina; they require cleaning and resizing before reloading. No live ammunition is present. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws. We have not function-tested these components for reloading safety or quality.
