Lot 516:
Sold for: $550
Description
A Thompson/Center Arms Contender Super 14 single-shot, break-action pistol. The firearm is chambered in .35 Remington (.35 REM), as clearly marked on the barrel. The receiver features a blued finish with detailed scroll engraving surrounding an image of a feline predator, consistent with factory engraving patterns for this model. The barrel is marked THOMPSON CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, N.H. and .35 REM SUPER 14. The furniture consists of checkered black polymer grips and a matching polymer forend. Sighting is achieved via a ramped front sight and an adjustable rear sight mounted on the barrel assembly. The visible serial number is 83073.BBL: 14 inches
Condition: The firearm is in generally good to very good condition. The high-gloss bluing on the barrel retains a high percentage of its finish, displaying minor superficial handling marks and light scratches consistent with careful use. The receiver finish is strong. There is evidence of residue and light surface corrosion or minor pitting concentrated around the adjustable rear sight base and mounting screws, which may require detailed cleaning. The polymer furniture is sound with sharp checkering, showing minor scuffs but no major cracks or damage. The break-action appears to function correctly, locking up tightly when closed. We have not function-tested this firearm. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
