Description

A single semi-automatic rifle built on the AR-15 platform, identified as a Matrix Aerospace Corp. M556-SC. The rifle is configured in a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) style, featuring a heavy profile barrel and extensive rail system. The lower receiver is marked MATRIX AEROSPACE CORP. CLAREMONT, NH USA, with the Model designation MOD M556-SC, Caliber marked CAL MULTI, and Serial Number S/N SC556-00578. The barrel is marked DPMS 5.56 M-12 1-8, indicating a 5.56mm caliber barrel with a 1:8 twist rate, consistent with use of both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The rifle features a matte black finish on the aluminum receivers and steel components. Furniture includes a fixed A2-style polymer buttstock and an ergonomic black polymer pistol grip. The rifle is heavily accessorized with a Midwest Industries free-float quad-rail handguard system, marked MIDWEST INDUSTRIES Made in U.S.A. Accessories include a vertical foregrip, polymer rail covers, and a spring-loaded UTG TL-BP88Q bipod mounted to the lower rail. Optics provisions include front and rear flip-up iron sights and a Burris P.E.P.R. (Proper Eye Position Ready) cantilever scope mount installed on the top rail. A black polymer box magazine is inserted in the magwell.
Condition: The rifle is in excellent overall physical condition. The matte black finish is nearly 100% intact across the aluminum receivers and steel barrel, showing only minimal handling marks consistent with very light use. There is no significant scratching, pitting, or rust observed. The bore appears bright with sharp rifling, consistent with the low observed usage. The action appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. All polymer furniture (stock, grip, rail covers) is free from cracks or major damage. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
