Sold for: $475
Description
A single Chinese Norinco SKS Semi-Automatic Carbine chambered in 7.62x39mm. This gas-operated rifle features a high-gloss, reddish-orange finished wood stock and is configured with several aftermarket modifications common to imported surplus models. The rifle retains its standard 10-round fixed box magazine. The left side of the receiver is marked with Chinese characters (likely indicating Type 56), the full serial number 7AU3813 D, and the import mark SKS 7.62X39 NORINCO CHINA POLY U.S.A. ATL. GA. The bolt carrier is marked with the partial matching serial number 03813. The right side of the buttstock is crudely stamped with the partial matching numbers 03813 D. The rifle has been fitted with an aftermarket ported muzzle brake and the standard receiver cover has been replaced with a cantilevered rail mount holding a BARSKA 4×32 CONTOUR scope. The bolt carrier is finished bright (in the white).
Condition report:
The metal finish is generally good, retaining approximately 85% of the black blued or painted finish on the barrel and receiver housing, showing minor scratches and high-point wear consistent with typical use and handling. The wood stock displays a high-gloss, reddish-orange finish with numerous cosmetic scratches, dings, and pressure marks throughout, particularly on the buttstock. The aftermarket scope appears clear with a standard crosshair reticle. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, including the trigger and safety mechanisms. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
