Description

A Pair of Herrett’s D-45 Skip Line Checkered Walnut Grips for Colt 1911 Pistols. These grips are designed for the full-size M1911 pattern semi-automatic pistol, consistent with models manufactured by Colt, Springfield Armory, and others. The attribution to Herrett’s Stocks is based on the distinctive "Skip Line" or "D-45" checkering pattern, which utilizes a deeply cut diamond or basketweave design. The panels feature a two-tone finish, where a dark stain or dye on the surface contrasts sharply with the natural reddish-brown wood color visible within the carving recesses. The reverse side of both panels is uniformly finished in a dark, near-black stain. Both panels are equipped with two standard mounting holes for the 1911 frame screws. No manufacturer proofs, serial numbers, or caliber markings are present on the grips themselves. These items are accessories and not regulated firearms.
Condition: The grips are in good overall condition. The checkering remains sharp and deep, showing minimal flattening. There is minor handling wear and light scuffing consistent with installation and use, particularly along the edges and near the screw holes. The dark finish is largely intact, though minor wear spots expose the underlying wood color. A white inventory string is looped through the top screw holes. We have not function-tested these grips for fitment on a specific firearm, and they are sold as-is. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
