Lot 57:
Sold for: $350
Description
A single Remington Wingmaster Model 870 pump-action shotgun, chambered for 12 Gauge, 2 3/4 inch or shorter shells. The firearm features a high-gloss blued finish and checkered wood buttstock and forend, typical of the classic Wingmaster sporting configuration. The serial number 784524V is visible on the receiver. The receiver is marked "Remington Wingmaster MODEL 870" along with the serial number. The barrel is marked "12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS" and includes manufacturer information: "REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. PATENT NO’S. 2.645.873-2.675.638 OTHERS PENDING." Proof marks near the chamber include K (REP) and a circled 3. The shotgun is fitted with a bead front sight and a Remington branded rubber butt pad. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.Barrel Length: 28 inches
Condition: Overall condition is fair to good, consistent with heavy field use. The high-gloss bluing retains approximately 60-70% coverage but shows significant finish loss, especially on the receiver, which exhibits numerous deep scratches, handling marks, and areas of thinning finish. The barrel also shows scratching and minor surface blemishes. The checkered wood furniture displays substantial scuffing, dings, and finish wear, particularly on the glossy buttstock and forend. The bore appears bright and smooth. The pump action appears to function correctly, cycling the bolt carrier smoothly, but we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
