Description

A pair of collectibles consisting of a fixed-blade hunting knife manufactured by Bear MGC (Bear & Son Cutlery) and its original accompanying dark brown leather sheath. The knife features a stainless steel drop-point or modified clip-point blade, clearly stamped "BEAR MGC USA" near the ricasso. The handle utilizes a full tang construction with composite scales designed to mimic burnt stag or jigged bone, characterized by a bright yellowish-orange base tone and a rough, blackened texture toward the butt. The handle is separated from the blade by a brass-toned metal bolster. The fitted sheath is constructed of stitched dark brown leather or imitation leather and is embossed with the "Bear MGC?" logo.
Condition: The knife is in used, raw condition. The stainless steel blade exhibits numerous fine scratches, surface scuffs, and signs of previous sharpening consistent with general handling and field use. The brass-toned bolster shows significant tarnish, discoloration, and patina. The composite handle scales are intact. The accompanying sheath displays minor cosmetic surface wear, creasing, and light scuffing, but the stitching remains sound.
