Sold for: $120
Description
A Thompson/Center Arms Thunder Hawk bolt-action inline muzzleloading rifle chambered in .50 caliber. This model represents an early example of the modern inline black powder rifle design, manufactured by T/C in Rochester, New Hampshire. The rifle features a polished wooden stock, blued steel barrel and receiver, and is fitted with a black rubber buttplate bearing the T/C logo. The action is a bolt-style inline system, designed exclusively for black powder or Pyrodex propellant. Markings on the barrel include “THOMPSON | CENTER ARMS,” “ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE,” “50 CAL.,” and the model name “Thunder Hawk.” The visible serial number is 10257. Safety warnings are clearly marked on the barrel: “BLACK POWDER OR PYRODEX ONLY-DO NOT USE SMOKELESS POWDER INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE READ BEFORE USE.” The firearm is currently equipped with a T/C Hawken Hunter 1X32 scope, mounted using Weaver 1 inch rings. The scope provides a clear crosshair reticle. Note: Due to the nature of muzzleloading firearms, this item may be exempt from standard federal firearm regulations, but bidders must verify local and state laws prior to purchase.
