Description

This is an antique top-break, five-shot revolver manufactured under the trade name Empire State Arms Co., a brand produced by Hopkins and Allen for the H.D. Folsom Arms Co. of New York. This firearm is classified under the Firearms/Accessories/Ammunition category. The revolver is chambered for the .32 S&W cartridge and features a double-action mechanism with a top-break frame for easy extraction. The top of the barrel rib is clearly marked with the manufacturer name, and the serial number 247101 is stamped on the butt of the frame. The revolver is constructed with a metal frame originally finished in nickel and is fitted with black checkered hard rubber grips featuring a circular monogram at the top. This style of pocket pistol was a staple of the American civilian market for self-defense during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Barrel length is approximately 3 inches.
