Lot 1195:
Hornady ZOMBIE MAX 223 REM 55 Grain Z-MAX Rifle Ammunition Collector Lot (Circa 2010s)
Sold for: $110
Description
A highly sought-after collector’s lot consisting of six complete boxes of Hornady ZOMBIE MAX rifle ammunition. This promotional line was released by Hornady, a leading American ammunition manufacturer, capitalizing on the popular culture “zombie apocalypse” trend of the early 2010s. Each box is factory loaded with 20 rounds of certified live ammunition, totaling 120 rounds in the lot. The caliber is specified as 223 REM, loaded with a 55 grain Z-MAX™ polymer-tipped projectile (Product Code #83271). The Z-MAX™ projectile is visually distinctive due to its bright yellow/green polymer tip, contrasting sharply with the brass casing. The headstamps on the cartridges are clearly marked HORNADY 223 REM. The exterior packaging features bold, thematic graphics including the slogan “JUST IN CASE…” and warnings confirming the contents are live ammunition. This specific promotional packaging is highly desirable among ammunition and militaria collectors due to its limited production run and novelty appeal.
