Description

A modern Italian-made percussion muzzleloading rifle, chambered in .58 caliber. This rifle is styled after classic American plains rifles, such as the Hawken, designed for hunting and black powder competition. The rifle features a dark hardwood stock with extensive checkering on both the fore-end and the pistol grip for enhanced handling. The barrel and furniture exhibit a deep blued or black finish. The lock plate and hammer are distinguished by vibrant case-hardened colors and detailed scrollwork engraving, typical of high-quality reproductions. The action is a single-shot percussion lock mechanism. Sighting is achieved via an adjustable rear sight and a fixed front sight. The rifle is equipped with a brown synthetic butt plate and includes a wooden ramrod with a brass or metal tip housed beneath the barrel. A brown leather or suede shoulder sling is attached via metal swivels. Markings visible on the barrel/receiver include “BLACK POWDER ONLY,” “MADE IN ITALY,” and “CAL. 58.” The serial number is 394249, accompanied by Italian proof marks including a stylized square logo and the letters “PN.” This firearm is classified as a black powder muzzleloader and may be subject to specific local regulations. No measurements are provided as no scale is present.
