F.A.B. Armi Pietta Percussion Double-Barrel Shotgun 12 GA Black Powder Replica 20th Century
Sold for: $250
Description
A modern black powder replica of a classic 19th-century side-by-side double-barrel shotgun, manufactured by F.A.B. Armi Fratelli Pietta (Gussago, BS, Italy). This percussion firearm utilizes dual external hammers and double triggers, characteristic of early muzzleloading shotgun designs. The piece is chambered for 12 Gauge and is explicitly marked for black powder use only. The barrels measure 28 inches in length. The top rib is clearly stamped with the manufacturer information “FAB. ARMI ELLI PIETTA GUSSAGO BS ITALY,” the importer “NAVY ARMS Co. RIDGEFIELD N.J.,” and the specification “BLACK POWDER ONLY – MADE IN ITALY 12 GA.” The control number “N 614” is visible near the breech. The furniture includes a reddish-brown wooden stock, likely walnut, and steel lock plates displaying remnants of scroll engraving. A wooden ramrod is housed beneath the barrels. This firearm is considered an antique replica and may be subject to local, state, and federal regulations regarding black powder weapons.
