Description

This lot features three distinct components used for the specialized hobby of hand-loading and casting ammunition components. The primary items are two sets of casting handles and one specialized sizing or adjustment block. Item 1 is a set of RCBS-branded casting handles constructed of a silver-toned cast alloy body with dark stained wooden handles secured by metal ferrules. The handles are stamped “RCBS” at the linkage point. Item 2 is a complete hand-held bullet mold assembly, featuring dark cast iron RCBS-style handles with reddish-brown wooden grips and brass-toned ferrules. This assembly incorporates a high-quality, custom steel mold block manufactured by HOCH MOULDS. The mold block is stamped “HOCH MOULDS,” “C 1424,” “36 12 80,” and the critical caliber designation “38-148-WC,” indicating a double cavity mold designed to cast 148-grain Wadcutter bullets for .38 Special or .357 Magnum cartridges. Item 3 is a small, specialized rectangular block component manufactured by LYMAN. It features bright steel sides and a blackened top plate, secured by screws, and includes a visible threaded adjustment mechanism and a white plastic retention clip. Markings include “LYMAN,” “8-02,” and “548.” These tools represent high-quality equipment used by serious handloaders and bullet casters from the late 20th century.
