Description
This is a SIG Sauer P220 semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 Auto. The firearm features a metal frame and slide finished in a custom desert camouflage paint scheme consisting of tan and olive drab stripes. The left side of the slide is stamped with SIG SAUER and SIGARMS INC. Herndon-VA. The right side of the slide is marked P220 MADE IN W. GERMANY and bears the serial number G 164 649. The barrel hood is visible through the ejection port and is marked .45 Auto. The pistol is equipped with standard black checkered polymer grips and a traditional double-action/single-action trigger mechanism with a frame-mounted decocker. This example includes its original blue cardboard manufacturer’s box, which is labeled for a model P 220-1 in caliber .45 ACP with a matching serial number. Also included are three black metal magazines, one of which features a tan-painted base plate to match the custom finish. The West German manufacture and Herndon, Virginia import markings indicate production during the late 1980s or early 1990s. Standard barrel length for this model is approximately 4.4 inches.
