Lot 1430:
Vintage Hardwood Rifle Stocks Assortment Lot of Three Sporter Style Accessories
Sold for: $90
Description
A lot consisting of three separate wooden rifle stocks constructed of brown hardwood, likely intended for various bolt-action or semi-automatic sporting rifles manufactured during the mid-20th century. All three stocks feature inletting designed to accommodate receiver and barrel components, though the specific models or manufacturers cannot be determined as no markings, serial numbers, or patent dates are visible. The quantity in this lot is three.
Stock 1 (Top): Features a classic sporter profile with a dark, contrasting finish cap applied to the fore-end tip. The buttstock is currently bare, lacking a buttplate or recoil pad.
Stock 2 (Middle): Distinguished by visible decorative carving or checkering outline near the wrist area. This stock exhibits a pronounced pistol grip profile.
Stock 3 (Bottom): Features a modern, thick, ventilated black rubber or polymer recoil pad attached to the buttstock, separated by a visible white spacer, suggesting potential customization or later production.
These stocks are offered as accessories for restoration projects, parts replacement, or custom rifle builds. No scale or measurements are provided.
