Description
This is a classic pocket pistol manufactured by F.I.E. (Firearms Import & Export) or I.E. MFG. in Miami, Florida, likely dating from the late 1960s to the 1980s. The model is marked DB-38, chambered for the .38 Special cartridge. It features a traditional over/under double-barrel configuration and a single-action mechanism. The metal components are finished in a highly polished chrome or nickel plating, providing a bright, reflective appearance. The grip panels are made of a pale yellow synthetic material, mimicking ivory, secured by a single dark screw. Visible markings include “DERRINGER I.E. MFG. MIAMI, FLA,” “MOD. DB-38 CAL. .38 SP.,” and the vertical serial number “D0275A” stamped on the frame. Additional markings near the hammer include “D HC F.” The action type is single action.
