Description
A fine example of the classic Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight pump-action shotgun, manufactured by Ithaca Gun Co., Inc., Ithaca, N.Y., U.S.A. This firearm is chambered in 20 Gauge with a 2 3/4 inch chamber, and is marked “PROOF TESTED.” The action features blued steel components throughout, including the receiver and the 28 inch barrel. The barrel is fitted with a ventilated rib and a modern bright pink/red fiber optic front sight. The barrel is marked “ROTO FORGED,” indicating the manufacturing process used. The furniture consists of polished brown wood, likely walnut, featuring decorative checkered panels on the pistol grip at the wrist and on the slide handle fore-end. The buttstock is finished with a reddish-brown recoil pad marked “Ithacagun,” secured by two screws. The serial number 371549641 is visible near the trigger guard.
