Description
A modern semi-automatic rifle built on the popular AR-15 platform by Anderson Manufacturing of Hebron, Kentucky. This rifle, designated Model AM-15, features a standard direct impingement operating system. The construction utilizes black finished aluminum alloy for the upper and lower receivers, complemented by black polymer furniture, including a textured A2-style pistol grip and a six-position adjustable collapsible buttstock. The rifle is equipped with an extended, lightweight free-float handguard featuring M-LOK attachment slots and a full-length Picatinny rail for optics mounting. The barrel is marked 5.56 NATO caliber with a fast 1:7 twist rate, constructed of Chrome Moly Vanadium (CrMoV) steel, and fitted with a classic A2 birdcage flash hider. The lower receiver is marked ANDERSON MFG. HEBRON, KY, Model AM-15, MULTI CAL, and serial number 25015207. This rifle is a contemporary example of a popular American-made sporting firearm.
