Lot 1478:
RCBS Precisioneered Reloading Die Set 8x57 Mauser F.L. Dies Vintage
Sold for: $50
Description
This offering is a vintage RCBS Full Length (F.L.) Reloading Die Set, specifically manufactured for the 8×57 Mauser rifle cartridge. The set is housed in its original, classic green hinged plastic storage case. The case lid prominently features the RCBS corporate branding, including the “PRECISIONEERED RELOADING DIES” slogan and the iconic bear silhouette logo centered within a target crosshair. The case identifies the manufacturer location as RCBS, INC. OROVILLE, CALIFORNIA 95965. A heavily aged paper label affixed to the side confirms the contents as “F.L. DIES SET 8X57 MAUSER,” corresponding to Part Number 590. The interior contains two individual machined metal reloading dies, consistent with a standard rifle die set (typically a full-length sizing die and a seating/crimping die). Both dies exhibit robust construction with knurled adjustment surfaces and standard threaded bodies for use in a reloading press. RCBS is recognized globally as a premier manufacturer of precision reloading equipment, and this set represents their classic production era. No dimensions or weight measurements are available.
