Lot 1495:
Uncounted Lot of .45 Colt Empty Brass Casings for Reloading or Craft Use, Modern Production
Sold for: $30
Description
This lot consists of a large, uncounted quantity of spent metallic cartridge cases, strongly identified through visual comparison and web intelligence as .45 Colt (also known as .45 Long Colt) caliber. The casings are constructed of brass or bronze-colored metal and are consistent with centerfire pistol or straight-walled rifle ammunition. The .45 Colt cartridge is historically significant, dating back to 1872, and remains popular today for revolvers and lever-action rifles. The casings are contained within a clear plastic bag. While headstamps are present on the base of the cases, specific manufacturer names, model numbers, or country of origin markings are not discernible due to tarnish and residue. The lot is suitable for use by reloaders, stage prop designers, or for craft and decorative purposes. No measurements or weight are available for this lot.
