Lot 1555:
Bulk Lot of Lead Cast Bullet Tips, .45 Long Colt Caliber, Circa Mid-20th Century
Sold for: $50
Description
A large, bulk quantity lot of cast lead projectiles intended for use as reloading components. The bullets are consistent with .45 caliber specifications, specifically matching the profile and size required for the .45 Long Colt (L.C.) cartridge, as emphasized by user-provided keywords, and potentially suitable for certain .45 ACP applications. Each projectile features a cylindrical body, a rounded or truncated conical nose profile, and multiple deep circumferential cannelures designed to hold lubricant or aid in seating. The material is a heavily oxidized grey metal consistent with aged lead. The projectiles are contained within their original, heavily deteriorated tan cardboard box. Due to the dense packing and overlap within the container, the exact count of individual bullets is indeterminate, but the lot represents a significant quantity of components. No manufacturer markings, model numbers, or patent dates are discernible on the projectiles or the packaging.
