Description

A highly customized, vintage left-hand bolt-action rifle built upon a Winchester Model 70 action. The receiver is marked “WINCHESTER” above “TRADE MARK” and features the serial number 76186 on the receiver bridge, dating the action to the late 1940s or early 1950s production era. The rifle is configured for a left-handed shooter, a rare and desirable feature for this model. The hinged magazine floorplate is clearly marked “– SUPER GRADE –”. The rifle features a heavy-profile bright metal barrel, likely stainless steel, which is significantly longer and heavier than standard factory specifications, suggesting a custom target or varmint build. The action metalwork is blued steel. The rifle is fitted with a highly figured, checkered wooden stock featuring a high-gloss varnish finish. The bolt handle has been modified with an oversized, polished metal knob. The buttstock is fitted with a custom brown rubberized recoil pad marked “Redmayne GUN WORKS THE DULUTH CAT.” The caliber of the rifle is unknown.
