Description

This professional-grade lot features seven machined steel bullet mold block sets and one specialized reloading tool with a turned wooden handle and metal pin. The collection represents the premier American manufacturers of the mid-20th century reloading era, including Lyman, RCBS, and Ideal. Several pieces carry the Middlefield, Conn. U.S.A. stamp, characteristic of the period following Lyman’s acquisition of the Ideal Manufacturing Company. Stamped model and identification numbers include RCBS 35-200-FN (designed for .35 caliber, 200 grain flat nose projectiles), Lyman 311467, Ideal 308291, Lyman 257464, Lyman 4406638V, and Ideal 321. The blocks are primarily constructed of dark, heavy-gauge steel designed to withstand the high temperatures of lead casting. These components are essential for the traditional process of hand-casting custom ammunition projectiles.
