Description

A complete RCBS (Rock Chuck Bullet Swage) bullet mold set designed for casting .348 caliber, 200 grain Flat Nose (FN) projectiles, designated Part Number 57911. The set includes the assembled two-block metal mold and its original green textured plastic storage case. The mold blocks are constructed of darkened steel or iron, featuring a distinct, heavy cross-hatched texture on the exterior surfaces. The blocks are held together by internal alignment pins. The top of the mold features a flat, black metal sprue plate secured by a hexagonal bolt, which acts as a lever to cut the molten lead sprue after casting. The side of the mold blocks is clearly engraved with the caliber and weight information “348–200–FN” above the manufacturer’s name “R C B S.” The set is housed in its original green plastic case, which has molded “RC” letters visible on the lid. A white paper label affixed to the front of the case identifies the contents as “RCBS P/N: 57911 BULLET MOULD .348–200–FN TOP PUNCH # CS,” confirming the inclusion of the necessary top punch for subsequent sizing or lubrication operations. The .348 Winchester cartridge is historically associated with the Winchester Model 71 lever-action rifle, making this mold desirable for collectors specializing in vintage reloading equipment for classic hunting calibers.
