Description
A vintage leather sheath manufactured by the Marble’s Hunting Knife Company. The sheath is constructed of heavy, dark brown finished leather on the exterior, backed by a lighter brown suede or rough-out leather interior. The design features a classic double-loop retention system, characteristic of high-quality early to mid-20th century American outdoor and hunting accessories. The outer perimeter of the dark leather body is decorated with repetitive tooling. The central retaining strap is clearly embossed with the manufacturer mark reading MARBLE’S centrally, surrounded by partial text identifying the item as related to a HUNTING KNIFE COMPANY. The sheath is stitched along the edges and includes attached leather thongs, one of which is knotted near the presumed tip, likely used for leg tie-down.
