This is a premier example of a Pietro Beretta Model 92FS semi-automatic pistol, manufactured in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy. Chambered in 9mm Parabellum, this firearm features the iconic open-slide design, a short-recoil delayed-locking block system, and a double/single-action trigger. The pistol is constructed with a matte black Bruniton-finished steel slide and an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame. It is fitted with black synthetic checkered grips featuring the Beretta trident logo. The left side of the slide is roll-stamped PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY, accompanied by the PB logo. The right side is marked MOD. 92 FS – CAL. 9 Parabellum – PATENTED and BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK, MD. The frame bears the serial number E38159Z. Italian proof marks are visible on the trigger guard, including the AZ date code, which identifies the year of manufacture as 1990. This model represents the civilian counterpart to the M9 sidearm adopted by the United States Armed Forces. The barrel length is 4.9 inches.
