Sold for: $80
Description
A significant collection lot consisting of seven boxes of centerfire firearm primers from three major manufacturers: Remington, Winchester, and CCI. The lot includes components for both pistol and rifle reloading, representing a mix of collectible vintage stock and modern components.
The vintage portion of the lot consists of four individual green and red cardboard boxes, each containing one hundred Remington Primers No. 9-1/2. These primers are specified as being adapted to smokeless powder center fire rifle cartridges and utilize the historic Kleanbore priming technology, indicating a non-mercuric, non-corrosive composition. These boxes were manufactured by Remington Arms Company Inc., Bridgeport, Conn., and are marked Made in U.S.A.
The modern components include three boxes of pistol primers. There are two boxes of Winchester Primers, model WLP, designated as Large Pistol for Standard or Magnum Pistol Loads. One of these Winchester boxes is blue and notes a new surface finish for improved sensitivity. This blue box is partially open, revealing one hundred brass-colored primers arranged in a black plastic tray. The second Winchester box is white and red, also marked Large Pistol. The third pistol primer box is a tan and red CCI 1000 box, marked CCI 500 Small Pistol Primers. The Winchester boxes include safety warnings in both English and French. This lot represents a mix of collectible vintage reloading components and modern, usable stock.
