Description
A classic example of the Winchester Model 12 pump-action shotgun, often referred to as “The Perfect Repeater.” This piece is chambered in 20 gauge with a 2 3/4 inch chamber, manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in the United States. The shotgun features a 28 inch barrel fitted with a solid rib, a desirable feature for collectors and shooters. The construction utilizes blued steel for the receiver and barrel, marked clearly with “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL.” The furniture consists of dark brown wood, featuring a ribbed fore-end and a smooth buttstock. Markings visible on the barrel include “MODEL 12—20 GA.—2 3/4 CHAM.” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” The buttstock is fitted with a black checkered butt plate impressed with the circular trademark logo of the “WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.” The serial number 1522074 is present on the bottom metal of the receiver, corresponding to a confirmed manufacturing date of 1953. This shotgun is complete and retains its original configuration.
