Gun Collectors Dream Auction #82 February 21st & 22nd
Lot 80:
Sold for: $25
Description
The lot consists of two sets of metallic cartridge reloading components, attributed to Lee Precision based on the distinctive translucent red plastic cylindrical storage containers commonly used by the manufacturer. These precision-machined steel dies are essential accessories for handloading ammunition using a reloading press. The components include large, heavily threaded cylindrical dies secured by prominent hexagonal lock nuts. Some dies feature knurled adjustment caps exhibiting a fine diamond pattern for precise setting. The contents of the two containers vary: one base holds two large threaded dies with knurled caps, while the second base holds one large die secured by a hexagonal nut and a separate, smaller, unthreaded metal pin or cylinder placed in an adjacent recess, likely a decapping or sizing component. No manufacturer markings, caliber designations, model numbers, or patent information are clearly legible on the visible metal or plastic parts.
