Description

This lot consists of four black plastic storage cases containing a total of 55 pre-formed .50 caliber muzzleloader propellant pellets and two copper-jacketed bullets with polymer tips. Three of the cases are labeled for Hodgdon Pyrodex Pellets, specified as 50/50, 50 grain volume equivalent, intended for use in .50 caliber in-line muzzleloaders. One case is labeled for Hodgdon Triple Seven pellets, also for use in .50 caliber in-line muzzleloaders with 209 primers. One Pyrodex case contains 50 pellets arranged in a ten-by-five grid. The Triple Seven case contains five pellets and two copper-jacketed bullets with yellow polymer tips. Key markings on the labels include the manufacturer name Hodgdon, product names Pyrodex and Triple Seven, and patent number 5,726,378. The labels also provide safety warnings, weight specifications of 8.57 ounces for full containers, and contact information for Hodgdon Powder Co. in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.

Condition report:

The propellant pellets appear to be in good, dry condition with no visible signs of moisture damage or crumbling. The two bullets show no signs of corrosion or oxidation on the copper jackets. The plastic storage cases exhibit external wear, including adhesive residue from old price stickers, some peeling on the labels, and minor surface scuffing. The foam inserts in the lids remain intact. We have not function-tested these propellant charges.
