Description

This collection consists of three professional-grade bullet casting molds with integral handles designed for custom ammunition production. The first mold is a Hoch nose-pour design featuring smooth wood handles with copper ferrules and steel components. Verbatim markings include HOCH MOULDS on the block and pivot arm, with the top plate marked 32-40 and the block side marked 450 400. The second mold is a Lyman single-cavity design with tapered wood handles and brass ferrules. It bears partial markings on the side of the block that read LYMAN and 457. The third mold is a Paul Jones precision unit featuring a dark-finished metal body and wood handles with brass ferrules and three turned grooves. The top plate is clearly marked PAUL JONES and 45-70. These tools are intended for the production of lead projectiles for the specified calibers and represent various eras of custom and commercial reloading equipment.

Condition report:

The Hoch mold shows visible surface oxidation on the steel components and top plate with handles remaining structurally sound. The Lyman mold exhibits a heavy accumulation of dust and surface rust across the block and pivot, though the wood handles remain intact with minor finish wear. The Paul Jones mold is in the best condition of the trio, showing only minor surface wear and light handling marks to the dark finish. All pivot points appear to function correctly, though the molds have not been tested for casting quality or thermal stability.
