Description
This lot consists of a pair of rifle barrels designed for the AR-15 platform, each featuring an installed barrel extension and a threaded muzzle. The top barrel is attributed to Boss Barrels and features a composite carbon fiber wrap with a green and brown snakeskin-patterned texture. Key markings visible on the metal section near the muzzle include the characters 5.56 1/9 indicating a 5.56mm caliber and a 1:9 twist rate. The bottom barrel is finished in matte black and includes a visible gas port. Markings on this barrel specify 6mm MAX 1-7.5 5R indicating a 6mm MAX caliber with a 1:7.5 twist rate and 5R rifling. Both items are components only and do not include gas blocks, gas tubes, or muzzle devices. Internal bore photographs for both items show bright interiors with distinct, sharp rifling.
Condition report:
The 5.56mm caliber barrel shows significant surface wear, scuffing to the carbon fiber wrap, and residue on the exposed metal sections near the muzzle and extension. The 6mm MAX caliber barrel appears to be in good used condition with minor surface scuffs and light wear around the gas port. Both bores are bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The threads on both muzzles appear clean and undamaged.
