Description
This lot features a side-by-side break-action shotgun manufactured by Zabala Hermanos in Eibar, Spain, for Eagle Arms of New York. Chambered for 20-gauge 3-inch magnum shells, the firearm is equipped with blued barrels featuring a textured sighting rib and a brass bead front sight. The receiver displays scrollwork engraving with gold-colored accents. The furniture includes a checkered wood forend and a modified, shortened wood pistol-grip stock. Key markings include EAGLE ARMS – NEW YORK – N.Y. on the right barrel and ZABALA HNOS. S.R.C. – EIBAR – MADE IN SPAIN on the left. The serial number 160781 is stamped on the water table and barrel flats alongside Spanish proof marks such as the ZH shield, 20-76 in an oval, and 1100 Kp/cm2. Accompanying the firearm is a United Edge sawback machete with a black-coated blade and synthetic D-guard handle, an olive green fabric scabbard with MOLLE webbing, and a black nylon bandolier-style sling with shell loops. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal finish exhibits thinning bluing with areas of light surface oxidation and pitting, primarily on the barrels and trigger guard. The wood components show visible wear, scratches, and dings, with the stock having been significantly shortened from its original factory configuration. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The accompanying machete and accessories show minor signs of use and wear.
