Description
This lot consists of a bulk quantity of approximately 500 spent rifle cartridge casings, primarily identified as .243 Winchester caliber. The collection features a mix of standard brass and nickel-plated finishes, intended for use as reloading components or scrap. Key markings include headstamps transcribed verbatim as 243 WIN and WINCHESTER 243 WIN. The items are in used, fired condition and are stored loose in a cardboard USPS Priority Mail shipping box. Most of the casings retain their spent primers and exhibit the bottlenecked profile characteristic of the .243 Winchester cartridge.
Condition report:
The casings are in fired, used condition. Surface finishes show typical signs of wear, including surface tarnishing and localized areas of white and green oxidation. The brass and nickel plating remain largely intact but would require cleaning and resizing before any potential reloading use. Spent primers are present in the majority of the cases. Necks and shoulders appear generally sound, though individual inspection for splits or defects is recommended. The items are spent, fired casings and are considered inert.
