Description
This is a single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered in 6mm Flobert, a design historically utilized for target practice and small game. The firearm features a long tapered barrel and a manual bolt action with a round ball handle. The furniture consists of a smooth wood stock with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, and a metal buttplate secured by two screws. Key markings include the manufacturer logo consisting of the letters G, E, C, and O in a circle on the receiver and barrel, along with the caliber designation Flobert 6mm and the serial number 12787. Several small German proof marks are visible on the bolt and receiver. This single-shot model does not utilize a magazine and is not fitted with optics. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows significant thinning and wear throughout the barrel and receiver, with areas of light surface oxidation and pitting present. The wood stock exhibits numerous handling marks, scratches, and dings consistent with age, including a small crack at the forend tip. The GECO cartouche on the right side of the buttstock is partially worn but remains legible. The metal buttplate has developed a dark patina with surface wear and light oxidation. The action appears to function correctly, but we have not function-tested this firearm.
